SOLD French Belle Époque painted metal ‘grille à pain” baker’s rack from the late 19th century, with scrolling accents. Created in France during the last decade of the 19th century, this painted metal rack, called a grille à pain in French, was conceived to store and present the fresh baguettes, pains and ficelles made by the baker that day. Painted in a white color, the rack boasts lovely scrolling accents and is divided into three sections. The shelves, secured with brass supports, are oval. With its great use and elegant lines, this 1890s baker’s rack will compliment any kitchen’s décor beautifully!
