A French Louis XV period 18th century walnut armoire from the Rhône Valley, with floral inlay and curved sides. Born in France during the second quarter of the 18th century, this exquisite walnut armoire features a delicately arching molded cornice with serpentine sides, sitting above a façade adorned with a lovely floral inlay and petite volutes. Two large doors, decorated with molded curving panels, open to reveal inner shelves and hidden drawers. Perfectly conceived to lead our eye throughout the entire structure, the façade finds its conclusion with the lovely apron that echoes the décor of the upper section with cartouches surrounding floral motifs. The curving sides are adorned with molded panels and the ensemble is raised on four feet. With its gorgeous patina and great proportions, this walnut armoire from the Rhône Valley circa 1730 will be a great focal point in any room, particularly in a bedroom.
