SOLD - Pair of Swedish Silver Candelabra from Stockholm by Gustaf Möllenborg

SOLD - A pair of Rococo style mid-19th century Swedish silver candelabra from Stockholm, created by silversmith Gustaf Möllenborg and presenting a floral and foliage décor. Born in Sweden in the second quarter of the 19th century, each of this exquisite pair of three-arm candelabra features a Rococo style silhouette. Three delicate scrolling arms, supporting small bobèches adorned with flowers, are gracefully extending themselves to receive their candles. The central section, alternating convex and concave lines, is decorated with floral motifs echoed from the top, the ensemble being raised on an exquisite base with foliage. With their lovely Rococo lines and skillfully executed décor, this pair of Swedish 1840s-1850s silver candelabra by Gustaf Möllenborg will bring a refined presence to any home, perhaps placed atop a pair of demilune tables, buffet or chest-of-drawers.
