SOLD A set of six Danish painted Hepplewhite shield style dining chairs from the 19th century. This set of six dining room chairs was born in 19th century Denmark. Each chair features a carved shield back with urn and swag motifs, typical of the ornate neoclassical Hepplewhite style. Each seat has been recovered with a double welt cotton upholstery. The ensemble is raised on four elegant tapered legs with spade feet. The graceful neoclassical lines, along with the light palette, typical of the Scandinavian search for brighter colors, make this set of six Danish 19th century side chairs a stylish addition to any dining room.
