An English majolica strawberry dish set made of an oval plate with its cream jug and sugar bowl made by George Jones & Sons ceramists in the second half of the 19th century. Created circa 1875, this strawberry dish features a turquoise background adorned with a décor appropriately made of strawberries accompanied with their leaves. The sugar bowl (3" W x 2.75" H) along with the creamer (3" W x 4.25" H) are completely wrapped in leaves and each find their place in a small opening. The dish is impressed with the monogram and "& Sons" typical of the George Jones production after the year 1873. The lovely colors, along with the delicate décor, make this English majolica strawberry set an excellent choice for any tabletop.
