SOLD - English 1780s Georgian Drop-Leaf Gateleg Table with Oval Top and Turned Base

SOLD - An English Georgian drop-leaf gateleg table from the late 18th century with oval top, turned legs and unusual Spanish feet. This English table features an oval top comprising two drop leaves. The depth of the table when the leaves are down is 21" and 54.5" when the top is fully open. The table is raised on a beautifully turned base with baluster legs and lateral drawer opening thanks to a brass pull. The legs are connected to one another thanks to a plain side stretcher. On each side, gate legs swing to receive the leaves when the top is fully open. The ensemble is raised on unusual Spanish paw feet carved in the front. With the simplicity of its oval top, delicately turned baluster legs and rich patina, this English Georgian table circa 1780 will bring a touch of authenticity in any home.
