SOLD - Swedish Neoclassical Style Cupboard from the Late 20th Century with Glass Doors - Tohh

A Swedish Neoclassical style painted wood cupboard with glass doors in its upper cabinet and drawers over doors in the lower one, from the late 20th century. This Swedish cupboard was born in the later years of the 20th century and created in the timeless elegance of the Neoclassical style. A molded cornice sits above three glass doors, separated from one another with thin fluted motifs, becoming Corinthian pilasters on the side posts, a direct inspiration from the Antiquity. The glass doors open to reveal three inner shelves offering great opportunity to display decorative objects or books. The lower cabinet comprises three drawers with ring pulls sitting perfectly above three wooden doors with rectangular moldings. The fluted motifs and pilasters and beautifully repeated, thus creating a perfect visual harmony on the facade. The ensemble is raised on short tapered feet. With its clean lines, glass doors and cream color, typical of the Scandinavian taste for soft palettes, this Swedish 1995 cabinet will bring a distinguished Neoclassical touch to any décor.
