Iron Rectangular Coffee Table Made of French 1850s Painted Ironwork Balcony - MIZZ

A French mid-19th century balcony ironwork made into a coffee table. This Industrial looking rectangular coffee table is made of a simple black iron frame supporting the delicate painted ironwork of a French balcony, typical of the careful attention that the French paid to their balconies, particularly throughout the City of Lights. In a manner that would have touched the heart of Baron Haussmann, the man responsible for many of the beautiful façades we see in Paris today developed under the reign of Emperor Napoleon III, the top is made of a careful series of volutes. In contrast with the curvy lines of the ironwork, the frame is made of four straight legs with simple side stretchers, giving an Industrial touch to this elegant coffee table. Perhaps placed in a living room, this coffee table will bring a discreet charm to any home. MIZZ
