This French 'bergère à oreilles' features a nicely upholstered back connected to two tall arm supports with scrolled knuckles. A single custom cushion adorns the seat while the armchair is raised on four cabriole legs resting on hoofed feet and connected to one another through a beautifully scalloped skirt on all sides. The carved details of the walnut body are exquisite, delicately accenting the arms, legs and skirt. With its lovely patina, great proportions and elegant décor, this French Louis XV wingback chair circa 1740 will be an excellent choice for any living room, bedroom or library.
