A pair of French walnut side tables from the mid-19th century, with two drawers, turned legs and cross stretcher. Born in France at the beginning of Emperor Napoleon III's reign, each of this pair of side tables features a rectangular top with beveled edges, sitting above two drawers fitted with brass hardware. Each table is raised on four exquisite turned legs connected to one another through an H-form cross stretcher of the same style, resting on bun feet. With their great proportions, lovely patina and graceful lines, these French walnut side tables circa 1850, will bring a touch of refinement to any home, perhaps placed in a living room or foyer, anchored by giltwood mirrors.
