A French period Directoire carved oak side table with pierced apron on all sides from the early 19th century. This exquisite French table features a rectangular top with protruding corners, sitting above a striking apron, richly carved with palmette motifs, separated from one another with pilaster type accents. This apron is pierced on all sides, allowing the table to float in the room. The table is raised on four elegant fluted and reeded legs, adorned in their upper section with acanthus leaves and carved rosettes on the knees. Perfect to be used as a side table or desk, this French Directoire table circa 1805 will be a great decorative choice for any room, from a living room to a bedroom.
