A Swedish neoclassical Revival carved and painted two-seat sofa from the late 19th century with new upholstery. This Swedish sofa features a slightly slanted rectangular back, framed by two partially upholstered scrolled arms, adorned with acanthus leaves on the knuckles and front rails. The upholstered seat is raised on a carved skirt, decorated with scoop patterns and accented with carved rosettes on the knees. The piece is raised on four legs, the front ones being fluted while the back ones are saber. The elegance of the neoclassical lines, combined with a soft color palette, typical of the Scandinavian taste, will make this Swedish sofa, circa 1880 an excellent choice for any bedroom or living room.
