SOLD - Swedish 1770s Tall Painted Cabinet with Broken Pediment, Glass Doors and Drawers

SOLD - A Swedish painted wood glass door tall cabinet with broken pediment and fluted pilasters from the second half of the 18th century. This Swedish vitrine features an upper cabinet adorned with an eye catching broken pediment, sitting above two shaped glass doors. The doors, flanking a central glass panel, open to reveal three inner shelves offering great opportunities to display your favorite decorative objects. The lower section comprises two lateral doors framing four short central drawers. A great visual unity is created by the presence on both levels of fluted pilasters, giving this Swedish cabinet a neoclassical flavor. The linearity of the lines of the lower cabinet is however beautifully balanced by the more sinuous silhouette shown in the upper section, thus creating a perfectly harmonious ensemble. Painted in a light color palette so dear to the Scandinavian taste, this Swedish, 1770s tall cabinet will be a definite focal point in any home, perhaps placed in a living room, dining room or foyer.
