A Swedish Rococo period painted wood linen press from the mid-18th century, with upper cabinet over four drawers. Born in Sweden during the third quarter of the 18th century, this exquisite painted linen press features a bonnet cornice sitting above two arching doors that open to reveal multiple inner shelves offering great storage opportunities. The lower cabinet is made of four drawers (two small ones sitting above two larger ones), fitted with Rococo hardware. Raised on four cabriole legs, the linen press is painted in a soft color typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes, aiming at brightening the homes during the long winters of Sweden. With its graceful Silhouette and nice proportions, this Swedish Rococo linen press circa 1760 will be a great focal point in any bedroom or living room.
