A Swedish Period Rococo painted wood cabinet with carved pediment, two doors over three drawers and original hardware from the mid 18th century. This exquisite Swedish linen press features a cross-bow shaped molded pediment, proudly sitting above an acanthus-flanked shell motif. Two simple looking doors finish up the upper section of this tall cabinet and are adorned with lovely crown adorned escutcheons. The doors open to reveal multiple painted inner shelves including a spoon shelf. The lower part of the cabinet consists of three large drawers decorated with ring pulls and escutcheons that gently lead the eye to the interestingly designed skirt and bracket feet on which the linen press is raised. The hardware, locks and keys are original to the piece. Painted in a light cream color that reveals the Scandinavian taste for soft palettes, this Swedish period Rococo piece circa 1760 will be an excellent focal point in any room, from a foyer to a living room.
