A Swedish mid 19th century Rococo style painted wood secretary with broken pediment and upper cabinet above a drop-front desk and three lower drawers. This Swedish tall secretary features an exquisite bonnet-shaped broken pediment sitting above two nicely shaped doors. These doors open to reveal a delightful light blue painted interior, comprising a spoon shelf topping three lower ones with hidden drawers in the lower section. The drop-front desk placed below is decorated with raised geometrical motifs and hides an abundance of small drawers and compartments, perfect to help you keep your papers organized. The lower section is made of three serpentine drawers, raised on a scalloped and carved skirt and scrolled feet. The hardware, made of round or oval ring pulls decorated with urns, is original. The ensemble is the epitome of refinement and elegance. With its timeless elegance and subtle color palette, this Swedish 1850s tall secretary will be a definite focal point in any home, perhaps placed in a foyer, living room or office.
