A Swedish Neoclassical tall case clock from the early 19th century with original orange paint and mechanisms. This Swedish longcase painted clock (commonly referred as a Mora clock) features an exquisite carved crest with pierced arched motifs flanking a central foliage. Accented with small spheres whose color represent a visual introduction to the rest of the body, this crest sits above a discreet dentil molding. The clock's face with Roman numerals is secured behind a glass door, adorned with a beaded frame with foliage. The linear body is marked with two thin half-columns on each side. The base of the clock is decorated with a delicate swag with tassels and is raised on petite bracket feet. With its original painted finish, simple lines and elegant décor, this Swedish Neoclassical clock circa 1810 will bring a graceful presence to any home.
