SOLD - French Painted Wood Buffet à Deux-Corps with Chicken Wire Doors, circa 1750

SOLD - A French painted wood buffet à deux-corps with bonnet shaped upper cabinet and chicken wire doors over two lowers doors from the mid 18th century. Born under the reign of King Louis XV in the mid 18th century, this French tall cabinet features a delicate bonnet pediment, sitting above two confirming doors inset with chicken wire. The doors open to reveal four inner shelves offering ample storage opportunities. This upper cabinet sits on a lower one, made of two cutlery drawers, as well as two arched wooden doors of shorter size. The general linearity of the silhouette is perfectly complemented by the subtle curves shown on the doors, along by the small decorative ornaments that adorn the entire facade. With its light color palette and elegant lines, this French 1750s buffet à deux corps will be a great focal accent in any room.
