A pair of French Louis XV style painted wood bergère chairs from the early 20th century with carved skirt and new upholstery. Each of this pair of French painted bergères features a slanted back, flanked by two fully upholstered arms with scrolled knuckles. Each seat comprises a single custom cushion and rests on a beautifully scalloped skirt, carved with delicate floral motifs in the front. This motif is echoed on the front knees. Four scrolled feet raise the ensemble. Each chair has been reupholstered with a new sturdy cotton fabric. The delicacy of the curved Louis XV lines, combined with nice proportions and a light color palette, will make this pair of French bergère chairs circa 1910 an excellent choice for any living room, bedroom or office.
