SOLD - 1810s Swedish Period Gustavian Painted Sideboard with Reeded Diamond Motifs

A Swedish Gustavian period painted sideboard from the early 19th century, with wooden gallery, two doors and diamond motifs. This Swedish painted sideboard features a rectangular top surrounded by a three-quarter wooden gallery, sitting above a set of double doors with molded frames, that opens to reveal two inner shelves surmounted by a smaller one. The sideboard is raised on a valanced plinth, whose sinuous lines connect the bracket feet to one another. The sideboard is painted in a light color, typical of the Scandinavian taste for soft palettes, aiming at brightening the homes during the long, dark winters of Sweden. With its clean lines and elegant décor, this Swedish Gustavian period painted sideboard, circa 1810 will bring a graceful presence to any home, whether placed in a kitchen, living room or dining room.
