The muslin upholstered seat rests on a simple skirt carved with wraparound rosettes on the knees. Each chair is raised on four elegant cylindrical fluted legs, connected to one another through a spindle-shaped cross stretcher. The chairs are painted in a light color typical of the Scandinavian taste for soft palettes, aiming at brightening the homes during the long, dark winters of Sweden.
