SOLD - Pair of Swedish Period Neoclassical Painted Demilune Console Tables, circa 1810

SOLD - A pair of Swedish neoclassical period painted wood demilune console tables from the early 19th century with marbleized tops, carved aprons and tapered legs. Each of this pair of Swedish demilune features a grey veined faux-marble semi-circular top sitting above an exquisite apron, carved in low-relief with delicate floral motifs. Each table is raised on three tapered legs with discreet motifs carved in their upper section, and spade feet. The tables are painted in a light color, typical of the Scandinavian taste for soft palettes, aiming at brightening the homes during the long, dark winters of Sweden. This light finish contrasts beautifully with the darker color of the tops. With their clean neoclassical lines and refined decor, this pair of Swedish demilune tables, circa 1810 will bring a graceful presence to any home, whether placed in a living room or foyer.
