Mid 18th Century French Louis XV Period Painted Buffet with Drawers and Doors

A French Louis XV period painted wood buffet from the mid 18th century, with two drawers over two doors and scalloped skirt. This French painted buffet features a rectangular, slightly raised top, sitting above two drawers. Each drawer is adorned with a subtly incised cartouche, framing the Rococo style hardware. A set of double doors opens to reveal two inner shelves, offering a convenient storage area. Each door is decorated with a recessed panel, accented with a curvy molding. The buffet is raised on four feet, scrolled in the front and straight in the back, connected to one another through a delicate skirt scalloped on three sides. Upon closer attention, one will discover that the buffet's center is highlighted by a subtle yet elegant décor, comprising a rosette at the top, followed by floral motifs. The sides are simply adorned with recessed panels. The buffet is painted in a soft grey color that compliments the lines beautifully. With its graceful Louis XV silhouette and lovely décor, this French painted buffet circa 1750 will bring a touch of French elegance to any room, whether placed in a living room or dining room.
