A pair of French Louis XV period walnut confessional bergères armchairs from the mid-18th century with new upholstery. Each of this pair of French 'Bergères à oreilles' features a slightly slanted wingback, offering the perfect privacy needed for a confessional chair. The open arms are partially upholstered and adorned with scrolled knuckles in the front. Each rectangular seat rests on a lovely sinuous skirt with carved shell and floral motifs and is raised on four cabriole legs, typical of the Rococo era. With their elegant Silhouette, wide seat and lovely patina, this pair of French bergère chairs, circa 1750, will be the perfect addition to any living room, bedroom or office.
