Born in the southwestern region of France that stretches from Bordeaux to the Northern Basque area all the way to the Tarn and the Aveyron, this French table features a rectangular top with molded edges and rounded corners. This top sits above an exquisite crossbow apron, presenting a single dovetailed and partitioned drawer showcasing its original Rococo escutcheon and a lovely key with chiseled head. The apron is beautifully scalloped, and adorned with delicate volutes on all sides. The table is raised on four elegant cabriole legs with scrolled feet, typical of the sinuous lines of the Louis XV era. With its graceful silhouette and lovely patina, this versatile French fruitwood table circa 1730 will easily find its place in various rooms of the house, whether the living room, the bedroom or even the entrance where it can be used as a writing table or console depending on its location.
