SOLD - French Louis XVI Style 1910s Cherry Guéridon Bouillotte Table with Marble Top

SOLD - A French Louis XVI style cherry 'guéridon bouillotte' table from the early 20th century, with pierced brass gallery, marble-top, drawers and pull-out shelves. Born in the early years of the 20th century during the Belle-Époque era, this French bouillotte table features a circular white veined marble top surrounded by a delicately pierced brass gallery. The term bouillotte comes from the card game of the same name (a version of the poker) which became extremely popular in France during the late 18th century. The apron, accented with fluted motifs on the knees, conceals two small dovetailed drawers and two pull-out shelves. The table is raised on four fluted tapering legs resting on petite brass feet. With its pure Louis XVI style lines and lovely patina, this French cheerywood guéridon table, circa 1910 will bring a graceful presence to any home, whether placed in a bedroom, living room or hallway.
