SOLD - French Neoclassical Style 19th Century Grey Painted Bookcases

Two French neoclassical style tall painted two-part bookcases from the 19th century, with glass doors, long drawer and fluted motifs, priced and sold separately. Each of these two tall French bibliothèques features a molded cornice sitting above a fluted frieze. The upper section showcases tall glass doors, delicately flanked with fluted pilasters supporting ionic capitals. These doors open to adjustable inner shelves. The lower section is made of a long drawer with painted hardware, resting on a pair of wooden double doors, adorned with slightly raised geometrical panels and accented with petite medallions. The fluted pilasters, smaller in size than the upper ones, create a perfect continuity on the façade. Each bookcase is painted in a grey color, whose soft hue compliments the purity of the lines beautifully. With their clean neoclassical lines and nicely distressed finish, these French 19th century bibliothèques will bring a touch of elegance to any living room or office. They are priced $10,950 each.
