Born in the later years of the 19th century, this Swedish painted sideboard features a long rectangular top, adorned with a stylized waterleaf molding. Four drawers with brass pulls occupy the upper section of the piece, while two sets of double doors below open to reveal two inner shelves offering ample storage opportunities. Each paneled door is decorated with charming 'rabbit's ears' motifs. The ensemble is raised on short curving and tapering feet. The sideboard is painted in a soft color, typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes, aiming at brightening the homes during the long winters of Sweden.
