A Swedish Gustavian style painted demilune sideboard from the mid-19th century, with three drawers, four doors and reeded motifs. Born in Sweden in the mid-19th century, this exquisite painted demilune sideboard features a shaped planked top, sitting above three drawers, fitted with classical hardware. The façade is made of double doors in the center, flanked with lateral ones, each adorned with reeded motifs typical of the Gustavian era, accented with petite rosettes. The fluted side posts lead our eye from the apron to the short tapered feet on which the sideboard is raised. Painted in a light color typical of the Scandinavian taste for soft palettes, this Swedish sideboard circa 1850 will bring a graceful presence to any home, particularly in a living room or dining room.
