SOLD: Swedish Early 19th Century Carved Wooden Mora Clock with Original Blue Paint

SOLD: A Swedish wooden Mora clock from the early 19th century, with original blue paint and carved crest. Born in Sweden during the 19th century, this Mora clock was originally handcrafted as a wedding gift. Featuring its rich original blue paint, the clock is topped with a carved crest reminiscent of a palmette motif. The face, secured behind glass, showcases traditional numbers. Monogrammed and dated 1827 on the neck, the clock is accented with a delicate rosette standing out beautifully on a red ground. The teardrop door opens thanks to a single hinge and the clock is resting on a molded base. With its nicely aged, original finish and sinuous lines, this 19th century Swedish Mora clock will bring an elegant presence to any room, from a living room to a hallway or kitchen.
