SOLD - A pair of French carved walnut twin beds with floral motifs, sheaf of wheat and custom mattresses from the 19th century. Each of this pair of French wooden twin beds features an exquisitely carved headboard and footboard. The headboard is adorned with a scrolled rail at the top, leading the eye to the delicate central carved bouquet of flowers displayed within an antique looking urn. Two flowers located in the corners seem to be extending themselves towards the center, as if trying to join the bouquet. The reeded side posts are topped with sheaves of wheat. The footboard echoes this elegant décor, with the exception of the central carving, showing a different motif. The beds are nicely scalloped on all sides and raised on four splendid tapered legs. They are both accompanied with custom mattresses. With their great patina and elegant silhouettes, this pair of French walnut twin beds will look wonderful in any bedroom. The headboard is 41 inches high, the footboard is 31 inches.
