A Swedish 18th century two-part tall secretary with slanted desk, glass doors and leather desktop. Born in Sweden during the 18th century, this exquisite tall secretary features a molded cornice with beveled accents, sitting above two glass doors accented with geometric patterns. These doors open to reveal four inner shelves offering great display opportunities while this upper cabinet is resting on a larger section at the bottom. A slanted desk opens to multiple drawers and compartments, ideal to organize documents. The desktop area is fitted with green leather accented with gilt trim, and is resting on two wooden pulls when open. The height of the open desk is 30.5" and its depth: 35". Five graduated drawers sit below, while the ensemble is raised on bracket feet. The secretary is painted in a soft color typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes, aiming at brightening the homes during the long winters.
