A Swedish Gustavian style painted wood demilune sideboard from the 20th century with carved swags and ribbons. Born in Sweden during the 20th century, this exquisite sideboard features an elongated semi-circular top sitting above a lovely breakfront façade with curving side panels. The apron, adorned with ribbon motifs, is separated from the door below with twisted accents. Four doors, each adorned with a neoclassical swag, make up the façade and open to reveal inner shelves offering great storage possibilities. The vertical fluted posts balance the horizontality of the twisted ribbons beautifully and visually separate the central doors from the curving sides. The ensemble is raised on four fluted legs, connected to one another through a stylish swag in the front. The sideboard is painted in a soft color typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes aiming at brightening the homes during the long, dark winters. With its graceful Gustavian lines and refined décor, this Swedish demilune sideboard will bring a touch of elegance to any dining room or living room.
