A Swedish Rococo period painted wood two-part secretary from the 18th century, with bonnet top, slant-front desk and lateral handles. Born in Sweden during the 18th century, this exquisite tall secretary features a bonnet top, sitting above two doors that open to reveal inner shelves and hidden drawers offering great storage opportunities. The lower section is made of a slant-front desk with multiple drawers and compartments, that opens up to rest on two wooden pulls flanking a thin drawer. The depth of the open desk is 30.5" while its height is 38.25". Three serpentine drawers fitted with Rococo hardware make up the rest of the façade. Raised on short feet, the secretary is painted in a soft color typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes aiming at brightening the homes during the long winters of Sweden. With its graceful Rococo lines and lovely finish, this Swedish Rococo 18th century secretary will bring a touch of elegance to any office, living room or bedroom.
