Born in Sweden during the 19th century, this elegant sofa features a rectangular back adorned with guilloche motifs on its rail, motif reprised on the front skirt to create a perfect visual harmony. Two open, partially upholstered arms flank the long seat, newly recovered, along with the back, with a double welt neutral fabric. The sofa is raised on seven legs, six of which are fluted and accented with delicately carved rosettes on the knees. It is painted in a light color typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes, aiming at brightening the homes during the dark winters of Sweden.
