SOLD - Swedish Rococo Style Painted Three-Seat Sofa with Cabriole Legs and Upholstery

A Swedish Rococo style painted wood three-seat sofa from the 19th century, with pierced back and new upholstery. Born in Sweden during the 19th century, this exquisite sofa will accommodate three people. Presenting a slightly curving back divided into three sections accented with pierced splats, the sofa showcases a rectangular serpentine-front seat recovered with a cotton upholstery. They are connected to one another through turned H-form cross-stretcher. The sofa is painted in a soft color typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes, aiming at brightening the homes during the dark winters of Sweden.
