SOLD French 18th Century Flora Painted Canvas Panel from a Loire Valley Manor

SOLD A French 18th century floral painted canvas panel from a Manor of Angers, Loire Valley. This French canvas panel spent its life in one of the most beautiful areas of France, the Loire Valley. Famous for its Renaissance châteaux, the area exudes a certain 'douceur de vivre' that will charm anyone who visits. That is the context in which our panel adorned the walls of an Angevin manor. Simple yet extremely graceful, the piece features a two-toned light green background, a color that was so popular during the 18th century. A scrolled frame, accented in its upper section with a shell adorned with delicate roses, surrounds swags, acanthus leaves and additional roses, organized in a perfectly symmetrical manner. Elegant, feminine and delicate, the result is a lovely decorative wall accent that will enliven any space beautifully.
