A pair of French Louis XV style walnut fauteuils from the early 19th century, with new double welt upholstery and cabriole legs. Born in France during the Restauration period, each of this pair of armchairs features a slightly slanted back topped with a carved crest. Two scrolling, open arms flank a rectangular seat, presenting a new custom cushion, while the ensemble is resting on four cabriole legs connected to one another through a scalloped apron. With their graceful Louis XV lines and lovely patina, these walnut fauteuils circa 1820 will bring a touch of French elegance to any living room or bedroom.
