SOLD - A French blue soup tureen with its platter from the late 19th century. This French lidded soup tureen features an exquisite deep blue color, accented by a delicate floral décor made of pink, yellow, purple and blue flowers among others. The lid is adorned with a delicate floral handle, tilted on its side and peacefully resting on its leaf. The lateral handles, meant to move the soup tureen with ease, take the shape of volutes while the platter on which the tureen rests, echoes the scrolled motifs on its two sides. This vibrant décor is elegantly highlighted by gilded accents. The platter is stamped on the back with a fleur-de-lys, topping a B followed by the letters A.G. With its exquisite blue and gold décor and lovely shape, this French 1880s serveware will bring an undeniable refined touch to any home.
