SOLD - Spanish 18th Century Walnut Fratino Table with Turned Legs and Iron Stretcher

This exquisite Spanish Fratino table from the 18th century is made of walnut and features a long rectangular top over a beautifully turned base. Each side shows slightly splayed legs, connected two by two with a side stretcher. A hand-forged iron stretcher joins the center of the legs to the underside of the table, in a beautiful inverted curve movement. The table, which has been restored, is the epitome of elegance. The top has been modified to be slightly larger than original and have a beautiful mitered border, using both the original wood and additional antique walnut. The simplicity of the top, which plays with the wood grain, is nicely contrasted with the curvy Silhouette of the base. The presence of the iron stretcher adds some lightness, which completes perfectly the ensemble. Perfect to accommodate 12-14 people, this large size Spanish walnut Fratino table would be a wonderful addition to any home.
