SOLD A pair of French Restauration period walnut bergères chairs from the mid 19th century, with carved foliage and twisted ribbons. Created in France during the second quarter of the 19th century, each of this pair of bergères features an arching back adorned with carved foliage on the crest surrounded by a twisted ribbon. Two arms with scrolling extremities and carved acanthus leaves are flanking the seat comprising of a custom cushion. The chairs have recently been reupholstered with a neutral toned double welt fabric. Raised on fluted legs with carved rosettes on the knees, this pair of Restauration period French walnut bergères circa 1830 will bring a touch of classicism to any bedroom or living room.
