Born in Provence during the later years of the 18th century, this lovely barometer features a tall Silhouette, presenting sinuous contours. Painted on a blue ground highlighted with a gilt trim, a delicate décor of flowers adornes the piece. The thermometer in the upper section finds its perfect place in the more narrow lines of the structure, while the round barometer populates the belly. With its graceful Silhouette and lovely hand painted floral décor, this French provençal barometer circa 1780, will enliven any wall beautifully.
