Born in France at the beginning of King Louis XVI reign, this exquisite bed features a hand-painted décor depicting a flaming torch, a quiver with arrows, a straw hat as well as an urn on pedestal, surrounded by foliage, flowers and birds. Flanked with fluted side posts accented with carved rosettes, the headboard leads us to discover the footboard adorned with fruits, foliage and musical instruments. Charming and elegant, this French Louis XVI period 1770s painted bed frame will make for a wonderful decorative addition to any bedroom.
