SOLD A French Louis XV style cherrywood armoire from the 19th century, with carved crest, two doors and four drawers. This exquisite French armoire features a molded bonnet shaped pediment, carved in its center with an acanthus leaf, C-scrolls and floral motifs. Two molded doors below, following the curving arching of the upper section, open to reveal inner shelves and three hidden drawers. They are decorated with delicate volutes and floral motifs while the lower skirt comprises a long and narrow drawer, adorned with molded cartouches, a central rosette-carved medallion and two bail handles. The ensemble is raised on scrolled feet. With its tall, elegant presence and lovely cherry patina, this French, 19th century Louis XV style armoire will bring a graceful touch to any home, whether placed in a bedroom or living room.
