A large late 18th century French buffet à deux-corps in fir wood from a monastery near Avignon. Created in Southern France during the last decade of the 18th century, this buffet à deux-corps attracts our attention with its wonderfully weathered appearance and large proportions. Topped with a "chapeau de gendarme" style cornice, the upper section presents three sets of double doors sitting above six drawers and an open shelf. The lower part is made of two single doors flanked with fluted side posts and surrounding a pair of double doors.
