SOLD Louis XVI Period French Late 18th Century Walnut Side Table with Fluted Tapering Legs

SOLD A French period Louis XVI Walnut side table with single fluted frieze drawer and tapering legs from the late 18th century. This French side table was born in the later years of the 18th century, at a time when the Ancient Régime was coming to an end. The table features a rectangular planked top sitting above an exquisitely fluted apron, typical of the neoclassical taste of the time. Concealed in the center of the apron, a dovetailed drawer opens up thanks to a round brass pull. The ensemble is raised on four elegant fluted tapering legs resting on spade feet. With its classical elegance and warm patina, this French Louis XVI side table circa 1790 will adorn any living room, bedroom or foyer beautifully.
