SOLD A French Louis XV period walnut slant front desk from the mid 18th century, with drawers and cabriole legs. Born in France during the reign of King Louis XV nicknamed the Bien-Aimé (the Beloved), this walnut secretaire features a slanted front that opens to reveal inner compartments ideal to organize documents and stationary. Two small wooden pull-outs open up to receive the writing area while the ensemble is resting on four cabriole legs. Accented with a scalloped apron on three sides, this Louis XV walnut desk circa 1750 will bring a touch of French refinement to any office, bedroom or living room.
