Born in France during the reign of King Louis XV nicknamed the Bien-Aimé (the Beloved), this walnut secretaire features a slanted front that opens to reveal inner compartments ideal to organize documents and stationary. Two small wooden pull-outs open up to receive the writing area while the ensemble is resting on four cabriole legs. Accented with a scalloped apron on three sides, this Louis XV walnut desk circa 1750 will bring a touch of French refinement to any office, bedroom or living room.
