SOLD - Pair of Swedish Neoclassical Style 1840s Painted Wood Stools with Guilloche

A pair of Swedish neoclassical style painted wood stools from the mid-19th century, with guilloche motifs and new upholstery. Born in Sweden during the first half of the 19th century, each of this pair of stools features a square top recovered with a double welt fabric, resting on an apron carved with guilloche motifs on all sides. Each stool is raised on four tapered legs with fluting and is painted in a soft color typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes.
