SOLD - French Arched Window from an Orangerie with Original Soft Grey Paint, circa 1850

A mid 19th century painted wood door-window with arched top from a French country orangerie with original paint, one available (priced separately). This French porte-fenêtre was originally placed in a country orangerie. Dedicated to sheltering citrus trees during the winters (think Versailles and its stunning Orangerie), the building would receive large tall windows to maximize available sunlight. Our door-window features its original full wraparound casement. The arched windows in the upper section open to allow circulation flow while the lower windows with their paneled glass, open with their original hardware. With its original soft pale grey color and lovely silhouette, this French porte-fenêtre will bring a relaxed elegance to any room. It will be perfect used as a window and we currently have one of them available, priced and sold $2,500 each.
