SOLD A Swedish neoclassical style painted wood barrel back bergère chair from the early 20th century, with carved bow, fluted legs and new upholstery. Born in Sweden during the early years of the 20th century, this exquisite barrel back chair presents the stylistic characteristics of the neoclassical era. The crest is delicately accented with a carved bow while the two partially upholstered arms with scrolled knuckles, are adorned with acanthus leaves. Comprising of a custom cushion and recovered with a new double welt fabric, the chair is raised on four fluted legs connected to one another through a fluted apron. Painted in a soft color, this Swedish neoclassical style barrel back bergère circa 1920, will bring a graceful touch to any bedroom or living room.
